Daylight Post
About Daylight Post
Independent journalism about people, public services and the decisions that shape our shared future.
Start with what matters to people
Daylight Post reports on the decisions that shape everyday life, from housing and healthcare to work and education. We examine who benefits, who bears the costs and whether those making the decisions are held to account.
We cover public life for an international English-speaking audience. Our reporting starts with the United States and the United Kingdom, with room for stories from around the world when they help explain an important public issue.
Look at power and its consequences
We examine who makes decisions, who benefits, who pays and who carries the risk. Our perspective is rooted in solidarity, equality, human dignity and strong public services.
Those values guide the questions we ask. Evidence determines the answers. We examine claims by governments, companies and campaigners with the same care, including facts that challenge our own starting point.
Our eight reporting sections cover health, living standards, the economy, rights and democracy, world affairs, climate and the environment, digital power and education.
Who is behind the publication?
